881Tengile’s daughter has officially been named Masungulo, meaning "the beginning" - a fitting name as she embarks on her journey into adulthood. Now at the age where she spends most of her time alone, Masungulo is on the brink of independence. She will soon need to find her own space to explore and build confidence before eventually establishing a territory of her own. Recently, we've seen her frequently, sometimes still meeting up with her mother. In one memorable sighting, she playfully stalked hyenas under Tengile’s watchful eye - taking advantage of these final moments of caref1Recently, we have had some wonderful sightings of Tengile’s daughter. She was resting in a tree as the sun dipped behind the clouds. Although at ease, her sharp gaze flickered with awareness, ever watchful for a hunting opportunity. As twilight deepened, she descended with quiet confidence, slipping into the thickets and vanishing from sight. A couple of days later, while tracking leopards, Tengile and her daughter walked right into the road in front of us, making our job effortless. They strolled along the road for a while before settling down to groom each other and rub heads affectionatel01151190847131010Driving along one of our boundaries immediately took a turn for the better when we spotted Tengile’s daughter slowly making her way towards our reserve, her focus was set on a nearby impala herd with lots of lambs. We followed her through the thickets but the distinct alarm call from the impalas forced her to retreat towards a drainage line. This young female will look for a comfortable spot out of the heat to spend her day before moving on again when the light starts fading and temperatures drop.00If there was ever a leopard that needed no introduction it is surely Max the & of Malelane. He has spoilt visitors from around the world and never ceases to leave us absolutely speechless. His favourite food without doubt is Warthog and especially the young piglets as they tend to put up far less of a fight. It's not too uncommon to be driving up the H3 at 10am in the morning and suddenly Maximus appears and saunters along side the road. An absolute show stopper who has almost no fear of vehicles. A Cat that certainly has left his mark on both ourselves as well as anyone else who has had t01682575344Sabi Sands game reserve is home to one of the highest leopard densities in the world. I've always wanted to get the iconic shot of a leopard in a tree with its kill, and I'm not sure this counts. We found this young female on our first day at #umkumbebushlodge She's about 16 months old and had just recently left her mum and sister to fend for herself. This kill is only her 2nd ever and she's still figuring a few things out. Like which trees are better than others! She's still off to a great start and has lots of time to get the hang of things.3ulusabaprivategamereserve m Meet Vutomi :Basile's brave young cub has officially been named Vutomi, meaning "Life" in the Tsonga language — a name that truly reflects his incredible journey of survival to adulthood.
